Best Creatine Supplements Review

"What's all this I hear about Creatine Supplements these days?"

Good thing you ask! This word is tossed around the gym quite often. You've probably heard about it so much by now that you've probably overlooked its benefits in aiding muscle building growth and recovery.

You'll hear many mixed reviews regarding the importance of this supplement...but I still believe this is a key supplement in any bodybuilders diet...if not the most important supplement. The results people have achieved just can't be ignored.

So what is it exactly?

It is known as "nature's muscle builder". Many professional athletes and bodybuilders use it as a natural way to increase muscular performance, growth, and recovery. Just to give you a little more confidence...there have been many studies done that support creatine as a very safe and effective supplement.

In other words, if you're looking to supercharge your muscle growth, a creatine supplement will provide the right amount fuel to blast yourself into the next weight class!

So how does Creatine really work?

Well, first off it increases strength and performance the transfer of energy to your muscles through the conversion of creatine phosphate. This allows you to produce more ATP for shorter energy bursts. This is ideal if you find yourself in high intensity workouts such as sprinting and weightlifting!

Creatine's ability to enhance energy reserves in muscles comes from its muscle protein synthesizing action, while minimizing protein breakdown. This occurs because creatine has the awesome effect of super-hydrating muscle cells with water. It enhances muscles' growth too-making muscle fibers bigger and stronger.

Why is it considered an excellent bodybuilding supplement?

Well now that I've bored you with the definition...I'll bore you even more with an explanation of why this bodybuilding supplement is considered to be such an excellent source of fuel.

Did you know that over 95% of creatine is stored in muscle tissue! The reason for this is to supply energy to our muscles in daily activity. The fact that it is 100% naturally produced through the body makes this a safe and naturally way to get muscle building results.

Just to expand a little more on where it this stuff comes from...your liver, pancreas, and kidneys produces it, which is then delivered to your muscles through your bloodstream.

This is where the magic occurs! It becomes creatine phosphate...and Viola, you get ATP, a high-octane fuel ready for burning in that muscle building workout of yours!

Also, did you know you eat the stuff almost everyday too!? If you think the FDA would ever ban the stuff think again. I'm sure they enjoy their weekend BBQ's, otherwise they would have banned meat a long time ago.

Other foods you can eat with it are herring, salmon, tuna, and beef...just to name a few. However, the very best source is creatine monohydrate because its content per weight is more than any other source.

Oh yeah...almost forgot to mention that you'll be able to accelerate fat loss, while building lean muscle mass! This is ideal because you don't want to lose the muscle mass you've worked so hard to achieve while trying to get lean. This would just be counterproductive.

So how should it be taken?

Well, there are two ways...

1. Loading

If you've never taken this supplement before, it is ideal that you begin at the loading phase. This is a quick way to jump start your body with the stuff. It's all about saturating your muscles as quickly as possible.

During the first four days to a week, take 20 to 30 grams per day. Mix it with non-acidic juice or water. Grape juice works well.

2. Maintenance

Over the course of an extended period, one basically skips the loading phase and just supplements with five to fifteen grams per day, everyday. The best results have been noticed when combined with a high carbohydrate base, such as dextrose (glucose) and taken about one-half hour before training.

Just be sure to read the warning labels and take the recommended dosages. Nothing more, nothing less than that.

What are the different types of Creatine?

Now, you can get it in a variety of forms. This all depends on your goals, and how much you are willing to spend. Remember, price doesn't necessarily dictate quality and results.

Also, pay attention to the add-ons. These both have it's benefits and its draw-backs. Anyways, here's a quick run-down on what's available on the market...

1. Pure Creatine Monohydrate - The original that started it all!

This is the original that started it all. It plays a very important role in the transfer of energy. In the muscles, it is used to fuel the process of contraction.

It is converted to phosphocreatine which is important for short energy bursts such as sprinting and weight lifting. Depletion of phosphocreatine can result in muscular fatigue and fading muscle power.

This explains why you should take this supplement in any weight training program.

2. Creatine with Glutamine - A great combination for strength and recovery!

A personal favorite of mine. Not only do you get all of its muscle energizing and strength building properties...but combine that with glutamine's well-known recovery boosting properties. You're sure to get some awesome results!

3. Creatine and Nitric Oxide - Get the muscle pump and energy you need!

Nitric Oxide essentially helps maintain muscle pumps and forces more creatine phosphate into the muscle cells for better results. This is a good way to enhance its full benefits during a hard workout!

4. Creatine Capsules - Convenient...and just one pill away!

This is an easy and convenient way to take the supplement. For those who don't like to drink mixtures of stuff or for those who just want the convenience of a capsule, this is a quick and easy way to doing that.

5. Creatine Chewables - You can eat the stuff too!

Chewables are fairly new to the market. These chewables are a delicious way to get your creatine so you can gain the energy and strength you need to achieve maximum results at the gym.

6. Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE) - Some cutting edge stuff!

Ethyl Ester is an advanced form of the supplement which has been clinically shown to increase lean muscle mass, improve performance in high-intensity exercise, maximize energy levels and strength gains, and speed recovery. Ethyl ester technology leads to improved absorption, less bloat and minimal water retention.

In other words, it absorbs much better into the body.

7. Creatine Plus Potentiators - More advances in the supplement!

This is a much more advanced form of the supplement. It is one of the most effective forms of the supplement because potentiators create an insulin spike which makes it more readily absorbed into the muscle cells...similar to the Ethyl Ester form.

9. Effervescent Creatine - No loading phase...Alright!

This supplement goes straight to your muscles! Due to its nature, there is no loading phase...which makes it absorb up to three times more effectively. I highly recommend this stuff.

10. Kre-Alkalyn Creatine - And it just gets fancier!

Despite all of its benefits...there are some disadvantages to Kre-Alkalyn. The traditional form offers extremely short term stability. This is because of its rapid conversion into the bi-product Creatinine when exposed to liquid, and subsequent poor absorption into the bloodstream.

Kre-Alkalyn, buffered for maximum absorption and stability, solves this dilemma. In fact, each 1 gram of Kre-Alkalyn is equivalent to ingesting 10 grams of traditional creatines... allowing the athlete to take far less while experiencing even more explosive results.

11. Liquid Creatine - This supplement metabolizes well!

This supplement offers a stabilized liquid form. It also metabolizes faster, safer and more efficiently than powdered creatines.

You don't need to load because it saturates the muscles within minutes of taking it. The maintenance phase is not necessary either.

In my opinion these benefits alone are worth paying the extra buck if you're in and out of the gym quite often.

If you're looking for some supplements at a great discounted price, I highly recommend A1Supplements.com. They have been a personal favorite of mine since a buddy introduced me to them while in college. Their prices are way below retail, and the delivery turn around rate is quick.

If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed and don't know where to start...I would recommend you begin with regular Creatine Monohydrate. The stuff is still pretty good, and it will get you will ease into it.

So don't forget to add this supplement to your next supplements shopping list, and also don't forget to contact me to tell my about your supplement review!
